Thai Iced Tea
Not only delicious but it also has many health benefits & antioxidant properties. It can boost heart health, lower bad LDL cholesterol, improve gut health, help reduce blood pressure, help reduce risk of stroke, lower blood sugar levels (not when served with sugar), help reduce risk of cancer & improve focus.
RECIPE
Ingredients
. Black Tea - 2 tblspns
. Coconut Milk or any non dairy - 1 tin
. Raw Sugar or Coconut Sugar - 1/2 cup . Star Anise - 2
. Cardamom Pods - 4
. Cinnamon Sticks - 2
. Vanilla Bean Pods - 2
. Almond extract -tsp
. Tamarind concentrate - tsp
. Water - 2 cups
. Ice
Method
Boil water add tea, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla bean, sugar, tamarind powder & almond extract, simmer 5 mins. Strain, add milk, mix. Add ice to a tall glass, pour tea, add more sugar if prefer it sweeter. Can also drink it hot. Enjoy!
