THE MERCHANT AND THE DONKEY
Chandari Thindiu, 9
Once upon a time there lived a merchant and a donkey. One day the merchant loaded his donkey with bags full of salt.
The merchant was going to sell the bags full of salt in the market. When they reached the river line, the donkey slipped and fell into the river. The donkey realized that the bags full of salt became lighter. This made the merchant was very angry.
The merchant went back home and loaded his donkey with bags full of salt. When they reached the river line, the donkey slipped and fell into the river again. This time, the merchant realized his trick.
The third time he loaded the donkey with bags full of sponges. When they reached the river line, the donkey slipped and fell into the river. The donkey realized the bags full of sponges became heavier. The donkey became very sad and the merchant laughed at the donkey.
From this day, the donkey learnt a lesson. He carried loads from the market faithfully and never repeated that again.
Hapo zamani paliishi mfanyabiashara na punda. Siku moja, mfanyabiashara alimwekelea punda mifuko iliyojaa chumvi.
Wakati huu, mfanyabiashara akagundua ujanja huu.
