SUBSEA TORQUE VERIFICATION UNIT
The Subsea Torque Verification Unit is a portable
subsea device built for verification of torque tool
with ISO13628-8 or API17H interface. It is capable of
reading up to 2,700 Nm of torque.
The system interfaces to Class 1-4 torque tool interfaces with three
different stem sizes. The subsea display is connected to a torque
transducer cell and torque readings will be displayed live. Display can be
zeroed or changed between Nm or ft.lbs via ROV manipulator operable
paddle switches.
The system has ‘inbuilt’ light sensor technology that enables to display only Subsea Display
when illuminated by ROV lights, allowing the Subsea Torque Verification
System (when deployed Subsea) to remain dormant for months before
operation.
Information can either be recorded via ROV camera, or captured into via
Jupiter Control System or topside computer system.
High torque interface with up to 2000Nm, and Petrobras interface are
available.
