DOCKING FRAME
The ROV docking frame provides a mechanism
by which the ROV can dock into a pre-determined
position onto subsea structures, such as a permanent
guide base. It is a lightweight and robust construction.
The docking frame can be configured for FLOT work or the docking
interface. The FLOT setup will allow a Torque Tool and FLOT arrangement
to be fitted to assist with flying lead jumper installation work.
The design consists of an aluminium framework which is mounted to the
ROV. The framework carries two docking probes complying with the ISO FLOT Mount
13628-8 Figure 6 in a twin docking configuration.
The tool will require the use of one switchable, open centre hydraulic
function from the ROV or torque tool control system.
