bring words of healing, forgiveness, peace, victory, and

Biblically correct justice. To do otherwise in these times
is a major leadership failure to which we will be held
accountable! See Ezekiel 3:18 (KJV). We have the

Truth; therefore, we have “the right response for
            everyone!”

Colossians 3:8 But now is the time to get rid of anger,

rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Following are two practical examples of how the Church

can change the language about “race”:

Change our Language Example 1 – Frequently in

response to any recognition of progress regarding “race”
related equality, justice, and relations, the “yes, but we

still have long way to go” mantra is invoked. We hear
this in many forums and venues. It is invoked on the

streets, between friends, in debates, in the media, in
schools, by politicians, in church and even from the

            pulpit.

Far too often, like most discussions of “race” issues, the

“long way to go” is never really defined. If it is, it is
largely of a secular nature. If it has any Christian

connotation it is often very general and empty of any
tangible meaning. “We just need to love each other” is

often offered as the Christian response in totality. So,
