Change our Language Example 2 – Another frequently

used mantra is the “we need to have a conversation
about race” assertion. In that we Christians have the

truth about so-called race, one may initially ask – “Why
do we need to have another conversation?” “How many

conversations do we need to have?” Recently, a
prominent black actor stated, “We just need to stop
talking about race.” These views are certainly

understandable; especially in light of the many
conversations that have produced no real and lasting

unity.

But this “need to have a conversation” offers another
leadership opportunity for the Church as a whole and
Christians individually. Here is where we change the

focus of the conversation from the many secular
lamentations to the Biblical Truth about humankind.

Here is where we demonstrate the differences between
the discredited sociological definition of “race” that has

defined the secular conversations to the Biblical Truths
that sets us fee from this deceptive canopy and brings us

into the light of unity that is already provided by the
Great Reconciliation.
