Many books could be written to document the many
prevailing ideologies that espouse the belief that “we
can be as god”. A thoughtful study is given in the
excellent book written by Carl Teichrib, “GAME OF
GODS” [98] . In his book, Teichrib starts with the basic

premise that is reminiscent of the Tower of Babel
(Genesis 11). He asserts that a familiar, yet new and
distinct tower is arising. He tells us that this tower is
wrapped in the mist of the ages while beckoning with
the promise of a new future. He reveals a modern
“Temple of Man” that is looming before us. It is
rooted in the premise that “Humanity has three great
desires: To be as God, to be masters of meaning and

destiny, and to build Heaven on earth.” His book
documents that story. Truly, “there is nothing new
under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

The “We can be as god” deception is the same
deception that the serpent used to persuade Adam
and Eve (Genesis 3:6) to choose “The Tree of

Knowledge” over the “Tree of Life”. It continues to
deceive millions of good people in each generation.
Sadly, many trust human science, with all its frailties,
over the ultimate and precise science that only GOD
knows. HIS science sustains eternal life. In Genesis
11, GOD revealed that HE would allow mankind to

accomplish remarkable feats (Genesis 11:6).
However, HE also gave us a gentle demonstration of
HIS power to alter mankind’s quest for knowledge
(Genesis 11:7). The rest of the Bible, along with the
