said, “You will know them by their fruits” (Mat. 7:16-
20). When HE said this, HE admonished us to
observe their actions, not just their talk. Do their
actions bear the fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT; love, joy,
patience, long suffering, forgiveness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control (Gal. 5:19-24)? Thus, we must
watch for the fruit that they exhibit. We must be able
to discern if their walk matches their talk. The true
test is not if GOD is on their side; but rather, are they
on GOD’s side? If so, then their actions will display
the fruit that comes with those who genuinely walk
according to the HOLY SPIRIT’s guidance.
- “Churches are full of hypocrites” deception – How
often do you hear this charge leveled against
evangelical Christians who attend church? This is
often the view of skeptics who are seeking to
discourage believers and justify their disbelief. Those
who make this charge are deceived already. This
charge gives believers the perfect opportunity to
extend a helping-hand. In truth, churches are full of
imperfect people, just as in the secular world. The
vast majority of Christians are quick to acknowledge
that they are unworthy of the gift of redemption that
was given freely by CHRIST. HE shed HIS blood to set
us free and pay the ransom for all sins, including
hypocrisy. Those who repent and choose to walk
according to HIS “TRUTH” can enjoy eternal life. That
is the message to overcome this deceit! (Gal. 5.1)
