Appendix 5: Jerusalem - GOD’s appointed

                                         day

In ancient Babylon, the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar,
Belshazzar had hosted a great banquet. Foolishly, in a
drunken stupor, Belshazzar desecrated the vessels of the

Temple. What he did not only caused the Empire of
Babylon to come to an abrupt end, but it led to the
eventual return of captive Jews and the rebuilding of the
Temple. His act was also symbolically prophetic to the
future return of Jerusalem and the Temple mount under
the control of Israel that occurred on June 7, 1967. The
“Handwriting on the wall” holds the prophetic codes:

            Glossary of Terms:
            Hebrew Years = H-Yrs., Gregorian Years = G-Yrs.
            Hebrew Days = H-days, Gregorian Days = G-days

            Daniel 5:25-28
“The inscription written: “Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin.”

Daniel’s interpretation of what these words mean:
26 Mene: GOD has numbered the days of your reign and
                              finished it
27 Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and
            found wanting.

28 Parsin: Your kingdom is divided and given to the
                        Medes and Persians.”

Notice, “Mene” is written twice on the wall, but Daniel
only mentions it once as he interprets its meaning for
Belshazzar’s kingdom. However, the repeated “Mene,
