of fulfillments are measured, not from the dates of
Cyrus or Darius decrees, but from March 14, 445BC – the
date of Artaxerxes’ final and stern decree.

The reason that the decrees of neither Cyrus nor Darius
are the starting points is that their decrees did not
precisely match Gabriel’s spoken word (Table 1). Also,
we learn from both Ezra and Nehemiah, that local rulers
placed many roadblocks to halt all reconstruction work.

King Artaxerxes’ decree issued on March 14, 445BC was
exactly what Gabriel had spoken. Artaxerxes’ decree
was so stern that no one dared to oppose it any longer.

From that March 14th date, a total of 7+62=69 weeks
was to pass before CHRIST would enter Jerusalem as
Prince – this occurred on the day we know as Palm
Sunday. During the first 7 weeks (49 years), Jerusalem
was to be rebuilt – and it was completed in next 7 years.

CHRIST entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, 483 Hebrew
years later and was Crucified the following Thursday.

Now, let’s apply the above guidelines as we compute the

exact day that CHRIST would be, and was crucified.
These principles are applied to calculate the time when
the true Messiah would be crucified. This proves that
