foretold the major signs and events that would reveal
prophetic time forever. CHRIST sat down with HIS
disciples, on the Mount of Olives, and foretold many
details of signs and events that would take place during
the latter and last days. This teaching has become

known as the “Olivet” discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13,
and Luke 21). After HE had given many details of the
signs and the dreadful tribulations to come in the last
days, CHRIST told us how to recognize the season of the
last generation. HE revealed this with a “Parable of the
Fig Tree” (Matthew 24:32-35, Mark 13:28-36, Luke
            21:29-36).

In Matthew 24:32-34, CHRIST said, of the “Fig Tree” -
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its
branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves,

you know that summer is near. So you also, when you
see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means
pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and
earth will pass away, but MY words will by no means
            pass away.”

In that parable, CHRIST told us to watch the Fig Tree
(Israel). When we see the branches of the Fig Tree
become tender and put forth leaves, (the greening and

blossoming of Israel), we can know that the time is near.
Then CHRIST spoke very specifically, “Assuredly, this
generation shall not pass away until all things take
            place“(Matthew 24:32-35, Mark 13:28-31, Luke 21:29-
            33).
