Politics is a source of national power which is a key
determinant of whether a nation can achieve its
national strategic goals. This power can be effectively
employed to mold culture, thought, speech, beliefs,
and even the moral compass of citizens – even down to
the individual. Integrity and moral fiber of those
entrusted with political power is critical because
placing power in the hands of the righteous will yield
righteousness; but placing power in the hand of the
unrighteous yields only unrighteousness.
Show me a righteous ruler and I will show you a
happy people. Show me a wicked ruler, and I will
show you a miserable people. Proverbs 29:2
