CREATING AND MODIFY A CUSTOM PIVOT TABLE STYLE

After you have inserted your first pivot table in your document, you can utilize PivotTable Styles to make your work easier by:

           • Duplicating the default applied PivotTable Style and giving it a new name
           • Applying that new (duplicated) PivotTable Style to your pivot table
           • Modifying the new PivotTable Style you created (e.g., to change the row subtotal shading colors)
           • Applying that modified style to subsequent pivot tables you create in the workbook

        Follow these steps:

            1. Duplicating the default applied PivotTable Style – After you have inserted your initial pivot table in the workbook, click
on the Design tab, right-click on the default style highlighted/applied to your pivot table, and select Duplicate. Give
your new style a meaningful name (e.g., “AAE”).

            2. Applying the new style to your pivot table – From the Design tab, click on the More (down) button in the PivotTable
Styles section and select the style you just created from the Custom group at the top.
