AUCSO Conference Highlights

We have already begun preparations for our 37 Annual Conference, which will be hosted in
th
Edinburgh by Heriot-Watt University and look forward to welcoming our members, exhibitors and
guests to experience Scottish hospitably.

Our ambitious plans to continue the development of AUCSO continues as our next programme of
webinars is launched. We have re-convened a working group to support the production of a new
website and are engaging in new collaborations with UUK, The Office for Students, the Suzie
Lamplugh Trust and with the wider Security Industry. We have also secured additional
sponsorship which will support more investment in our membership to enhance the value for
money of membership fees.

I’m sure that you all join me in congratulating our four new regional chairs, Mark Arnold, Shed
Coulthard, Gary Stephen and Nigel Ward. Our thanks also to outgoing regional chairs Lorraine
Foster, Rachel Porter, Andy Edmonton, Andreas Engelbrecht and Tom Brown for their time and
commitment to AUCSO.

In conclusion I wish you all a safe and enjoyable summer.
