New Retail/Food Places in Castle Rock:
At the new Riverwalk Complex, located on Wilcox, just across the street
from Festival Park, there will be some shops and eateries opening soon.
Great Divide Brewery/Roadhouse, a 7,000 Square Feet space is projected
to open in Feb. 2020 if construction is on schedule. Originally a Denver
brewery, they have been brewing beer since 1994, independently owned
and operated, and has its roots in Downtown Denver which was an old
dairy processing plant. In 2013 they bought 5 acres in the RiNo neighborhood and soon will expand to Castle Rock where locals can enjoy yet another wonderful, innovative and well known micro brew house. They are currently advertising positions for hire on Indeed.com. Tribe Riverwalk will be a new restaurant in downtown which is a one-of-a-kind concept, not a chain. This eatery will have street level access directly across from Festival Park. It will o er American Style Cuisine. Opening date has not yet been determined.
Construction of the La Loma Mexican Kitchen restaurant is nearly 65 percent complete. Located directly north of Chick- l-A at the Castle Rock Promenade, this local family-owned restaurant will be an immediate success story. The Brinkerholf family mission “strives to maintain simply great food and provide world-class hospitality to their guests.” Expected grand opening will be early summer 2020 and will have a spectacular view of the front range from the restaurant’s outdoor heated patio.
Directly east of the new King Soopers is a building under construction. It will be the new home of Panda Express fast food restaurant. Once completed early Spring 2020, this popular eating establishment will provide both take-out and sit-in service to its customers. This chain restaurant o ers a variety of Chinese inspired dishes such as orange chicken, sweet re chicken breast, Beijing Beef, Grilled Teriyaki, King Pao Chicken, etc. The Panda Express brand is casual dining and is widely known as an e cient place to grab some tasty Chinese food.
Unfortunately for our community, The Village Inn
Restaurant, located at 207 W. Wolfensberger
Rd. has closed for business. This was a popular
restaurant and meeting place for locals for many
years. According to reliable sources, the Village
Inn Corporate has led for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
and closures are occurring at many locations.
Wendy’s near the Walmart in Castle Rock has also
gone out of business. Also, Good Times Burgers &
Frozen Custard located at 248 Metzler Drive, Castle
Rock has permanently closed for business. The
building will remain vacant until further notice. Fast
food competition is alive and well in our growing
community! Please consider buying local and supporting our businesses, whenever possible.
