Local area updates Dallas
Faith Community Health in North Texas is on the move! Referrals are coming in steadily and the process is only improving! In regards to onboarding local Faith Communities, the program continues to see commendable growth in South Dallas, Italy, and Waxahachie. The referrals are primarily from Community Health Workers and Baylor Scott & White Clinics, which are huge supporters of our Faith Community Health program. Overall, Faith Community Health in North Texas is seeing growth and we are excited and hopeful about what 2019 will hold for the program!
Faith Community Health has high expectations that 2019 will
be a year of improvement and growth! We have simplified the referral process for health professionals. We believe that the new referral process will streamline and increase efficiency. We also plan to increase the number of partnerships with local faith communities. Through this, we hope to establish more health ministries, as well as increase the numbers of Faith Community Caregiver volunteers. We know 2019 is the year to be stewards of the program God has blessed us with!
Fort Worth
2018 was a very blessed year for the city of Fort Worth. Last year the participation in transforming the city was ignited by the involvement of the mayor and congressmen. Faith Community Health staff was invited to the inauguration of the Northside Community Health Clinic to represent the Hispanic community, as well as Baylor Scott & White Health. Fort Worth faith communities also hosted two health fairs and several trainings in Fort Worth. FCH worked with the Alzheimer Association and hosted a workshop for caregivers of persons with dementia. Our program has partnered with local churches and established strong collaborative relationships in the community. We have worked with the Baylor Community Clinic staff and connected patients
to local FCH volunteers that are helping support them. He has oriented Certified Pastoral Care residents on FCH and how to refer patients to the program. We will also be hosting a second health fair in May for the Fort Worth community.
