Who is a faith community partner?
Faith community partners are local faith communities who choose to work with Faith Community Health by either developing a church health ministry and/or training congregational members to become Faith Community Caregivers.
By assisting faith communities in the establishment of health ministries, congregations emphasize the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Healing, health, and wellness are promoted among congregation members as well as the people in the surrounding community. Ultimately, the health ministry exists to help educate, empower, and connect people with the resources they need to be well.
Church health ministry action steps:
• Assist in the development of a church health ministry team that takes the lead in assessing needs and offering various levels of involvement for the congregation
• Offer a church health needs assessment to determine the areas of health needs in a congregation
•OffertheHowToStartaChurchHealthMinistry guide to form a coherent, structured health ministry with numerous ideas and applications
