HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

The House of Representatives of the Republic
of Indonesia (DPR-RI), generally referred to as the
House of Representatives (DPR) is one of the high
state institutions in Indonesia’s state system that
plays the role of people’s representative body. DPR
consists of members of political parties elected
through the general election.

I Functions
DPR has the functions of legislation, budgetary,
and oversight under the framework of people
representation.
Legislation
Legislation Function is performed to formulate
laws with only the president.
Budgetary
Budgetary function is performed to discuss
and approve or disapprove the bill on State Income
and Expenditure Budget (APBN) proposed by the
President.
