Scones

                                                                                 2 large eggs                              2 Tablespoons baking powder
                                                                                 ½ cup buttermilk                          2 large pinches of nutmeg or
                                                                                 ¾ cup milk                                cinnamon ( I like cinnamon better)
                                                                                 3 ½ cups of flour                         1/3 cup butter (softened and cut
                                                                                 1/3 cup of sugar                          into small pieces)
                                                                                 ½ tsp salt
                                                                                 Method:
                                                                                 1. Heat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit or 232 Celsius.
                                                                                 2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Put dry ingredients (minus
                                                                                    currants, raisins, cranberries or dried fruit of choice) in large bowl and
                                                                                    blend.
                                                                                 3. Add butter, mix until grainy, then add dried fruit.
                                                                                 4. Make deep well in middle.
                                                                                 5. Crack eggs into center and whip with fork, then add milks and combine with
                                                                                    eggs.
                                                                                 6. Gradually incorporate flour from sides and bottom.
                                                                                 7. Knead it then turning it over, punching down to catch all the flour from
                                                                                    bottom.
                                                                                 8. Transfer to well-floured surface, roll out to 1 1/2in. thickness and cut with
                                                                                    biscuit cutter.
                                                                                 9. Bake for 10-12 min. Cool on wire rack.
