For the past ten years Mrs. Catratala has touched the
lives of many students. Her lo\|C and passion for history is\
evident in all of her classes. She .constantly exhibits great \
enthusiasm in order to spark her studearts’ imaginations.
‘■■One event that truly exemplifies-Mrs. Carratala’s
’
patience and good heart is the 1999 Close-Up trip to
Washigton D.C. In this trip she took 42 hyper, sixteen year-
. olds along with her daughter, Sofia, on a 22 hour bus ride
back to Miami due to an American Airlines’ pilot strike.
Even after the-exhausting ride she remained warm and
caring as she said farewell to the. students.
For this and mucn more, the 2000 yearbook class
gratefully dedicates this yearbook to Mrs. Carratala.
