      Student-athlete Luciana Maggiolo has exceled in swimming at
     Carrollton since Junior High.  This year, she spread her wings
     beyond Carrollton’s walls.

              junior Luciana Maggiolo has been
      representing  Carrollton  as  our  top  swim­
      mer  since  she  was  in  Junior  High.  This
      year she went beyond Carrollton's borders,
      qualifying for the Peruvian national team.
      As  a  spectator  at  the  PanAm  games  in
      2003,  Luci  was  introduced  to  the  Peru­
      vian coach. This led to her competing at a
      national  meet in  Peru,  where  she won the
      50 and 100 freestyle events. She hopes to
      compete  in the  2008  Olympics  in  China
      and  has  a  future  in  many  international
      meets.  Luci  has  made  All-Dade  1st  team
      in  swimming  for  the  past  two  years.  She
      holds all Carrollton swimming records and
      also excels in the classroom.
