'Early in the year a robot built by Team Triple Threat: Emily Parr, Emma Guerra, and Christina Rosales, competed
in two Plymouth Invitational Robotics competitions against mostly northeastern high schools and colleges. They
were awarded the coveted Sportsmanship Award for their gracious professionalism and help with the other teams.
This award is only one of two that is voted on and given by the other teams. They also received the coveted judges'
trophy for the team judged most dedicated.
At the National competition The Eureka team of Andrea Rabassa, Sophie Thompson, Victoria Enjamio, Monica
Zatarain and Katrina Sanchelima took second place overall in the Task Orientated competition and won Best
engineered Robot. The team Triple Threat won the top national
award for Engineering Documentation. Team Fantastic Four, Lauren
Correa, Jennifer Villa, Natalie Gravier and Nicollete Gasson won
the most school wins in the upper division contest at nationals while
Team Eureka won the most Carrollton wins in the very competitive
rniddle weight class.
Carrollton's Sophomore Robotics Team traveled to Boston for the
Plymouth lnvitational"Rumble at the Rock." The team scored 2nd
Place and received the coveted judges' trophy for the most dedicated
