Welcome Freshmen Week

We all know the time-old tradition o f Welcome Freshm en Week, but this year
the High School took a 'super' spin on it featuring themes from Supergirl to
superfans.
Welcome Freshmen Week was “started as an initiative to make Freshmen feel
part o f the community and help them to get to know the upperclassmen,''
says FIs. Ramirez, Dean o f Students. This years activities and theme, a
modern take on superheroes, was created by the Junior class. "My favorite
part o f Welcome Freshmen Week is the time we have during lunch with our
big sisters. We all play fun games and enjoy dancing to music,” said Freshman
Milanni Garcia.

The upperclassmen cid a great job building community. Freshman Linnette
Romay comments, “Welcome Freshmen Week is a way for the Juniors
and the Freshmen to get to know each other on a personal level.' Junior
Samantha Panzer says, “For people who did not know their Freshman sister,
they got to bond with them." Overall, this year's Welcome Freshmen Week
was a super success.
