         The Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education



         IB C erem ony

         O nJangary 5th, Carrollton students, faculty, staff and'
         administrators welcomed the Class o f 2015 to the
         International Baccalaureate Diplom a and Certificate
         Ceremony  a form al event honoring students who
         successfully com pleted the IB curriculum . The
         ceremony took place in the Wellness Center, where an
         unprecedented num ber of alumnae returned' for the
         event
         Ms. Solis Silva *92, IB Coordinator, introduced Keynote
         Speaker, Captain Lindsey Champion *04, who is a
         graduate of West Point and currently serves in the 101st
         Airborne Division as an Intelligence Officer for the 39th
         Brigade Engineer Battalion at Fort Campbell, KY.  During
         her speech, Captain Champion, drawing from her Sacred
         Heart education and US military service, shared her belief that, "You change your life and your world by changing your thoughts.
          In order to make a better and more peaceful world, be the change you want to see. inspire compassion, tolerance and open-
         mindedness through inward reflection in order to allow outward action. Ensure you practice the skills that you have learned and
         most importantly, pass it on to others."

          Father Vallee blessed the IB Diplomas and Certificates and each alumna was called forward by High School Director, Dr. Dempf
         to receive her diploma or certificate from Head Master Kalkus. Closing remarks were offered by Mr Kalkus who commended the
         alurnnaefor their commitment to Goal li reminding them that Carrollton graduates have much to give the world.

                                                   Following the ceremony, alumnae, guests and faculty enjoyed lunch
                                                   in the Melissa Rodriguez Assembly Hall while reminiscing about high
                                                   school days and telling stories of new adventures.
