P. 1
What’s next, now the course is finished?
1. YOU COULD JOIN A FUTURE TEENAID GROUP
You are welcome to join one of our future TeenAid courses.
You don’t need to come to every session – just drop in when you fancy. We have some people who are on their third
one and feel they learn a bit more each time.
There are two groups – Monday mornings or Thursday evenings. The timings are the same as this cohort:
Monday mornings 10:30 a.m.
Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
SESSION 1 IS ON:
th
th
▪ Monday 25 July and Thursday 28 July
I will send the links before the start so you can come along when / if you fancy it.
2. YOU COULD CHAT TO OTHERS IN THE SUPPORT GROUP
Lisa has suggested a group so you have each other’s support / don’t feel alone. It will be an online natter - bring your
own drinks and snacks.
If you have any specific questions / things you want to talk through, just let me know in advance and I will pop along.
Lisa and I are talking about how the group could work so we will send more information by the end of the week.
3. YOU COULD JOIN THE WHATSAPP GROUP
We are also setting up a WhatsApp group. I will add memory joggers of different bits from the course every now and
again and people can ask questions/ share thoughts / seek advice etc.
If you want to be added to the group, just reply to this email with a ‘Please add me to the WhatsApp group’ and I’ll
do so.
4. HELPING YOUR TEEN
What you can do to really help your child so they feel good and can manage better in the future:
A. Help them to understand the brain and rid them of any guilt or shame:
o When your teen does not manage to keep to the things adults expected, explain that they are not bad or
naughty – it is just that their brain finds it harder. Help them and other adults be ‘Curious, not Furious’.
