Are brains built or born?
The brain starts to develop before birth
and carries on into early adulthood.
Scientists now believe that parts
of the brain are not fully developed
until a person is 25 years old.
Early childhood is a crucial time
for brain development.
During this time, more than a
million neural connections are
created every second.
These early connections form
the base for later, more complex
connections.
