▪ We can help children move from unconscious driven behaviours towards conscious control.
▪ The first step is understanding what drives their words and actions.
▪ Being supported to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings is the first step towards this
understanding.
Giving children regular opportunities to notice and make sense of thoughts and feelings
(when things go right as well as when they go wrong) is essential in the journey
towards improving their pro-social and pro-learning behaviours.
