Experiences: The Building of the Brain
Due to lots of enriching, calm and positive experiences,
some children have developed strong brain circuitry.
This means they will have strong Control Centre Skills and find
it easier to focus attention, be flexible and manage big feelings.

Stronger neural circuitry neural circuitry
Other children don’t have such positive, enriching
experiences. This means they don’t build such strong
brain circuitry in the Control Centre of the brain.
This in turn means it’s harder for them to control attention, be
flexible and manage big feelings.
