2      Feeling Prickly, Acting Prickly?


               When our needs aren’t met well, it can feel pretty rotten. We can get big, unpleasant feelings.
               Some people don’t have the skills to manage these big feelings and can then start acting in prickly ways.

          When a person’s needs are not met, they may feel prickly. This is the brain’s


            natural threat response kicking into action and releasing a surge of stress

          chemicals. This is a survival method to give the body energy to fight or flee.








































                                       They may then start acting in prickly ways.
