Our Three Brain Needs

               ▪ A model to help children understand their needs.
               ▪ Having different groups of needs gives a shared language and makes it easier to work out what
                  might be at the root of problems.
     Our ‘Body Needs’: the needs
     we have for our body to feel ok -
     our physical needs:


     ▪   Food & water
     ▪   Sleep & warmth
     ▪   Exercise & to be painfree
     ▪   The right amount of
         sound, light, touch,
         smell, taste and

      Our ‘Feeling Needs’: the needs we have
      to feel emotionally ok:                                                         ▪  Speed of learning
                                                                                      ▪  Amount of information and
