Maximise Your Strengths!
o What can you do if you are finding things hard a lot of
the time?
o What can you do if you do not feel very capable?
1. Remind yourself of your strengths every day. Keep a
list of your strengths, a collage of photographs which
shows them or speech bubbles with positive things
people have said about you.
2. Get involved in as many things as possible that
use your strengths – in and outside of school.
Find out what clubs are available that match your
strengths. What do you enjoy? Sports, art, chess,
computing, animal welfare, design?
If there aren’t any clubs you are interested in near you,
speak to your school, ask an adult to help you get in
touch with your local council or look on the internet.
3. Make sure other people know your strengths so
that they can design lessons and tasks that use them.
