Ways to keep feelings and energy steady
































                           1. When you have an unpleasant feeling, remember, it



















                           is just cortisol being released – it is a clever way of your




















                           brain telling you something is not ok and action is




















                           needed.






















                           2. The first skill to get good at it self-soothing – we’ll explore that




















                           next week.




























                           3.  If we get good at self-soothing, we can calm our brain



















                           enough to be able to problem solve.






























                           4. When calm, think: “Which 5C Need went wrong for me?”




















































































































                           5. Practise being a solution-finder: what is the first step




















                           to improve the situation? The more you practice being the




















                           solution-finder, the easier it will get – it is a skill.
