Learning to recognise the body’s
natural response to threat
▪ Our brain can find it hard to work out REAL threat.
▪ The brain can trick us into thinking there is REAL danger when we are
perfectly safe.
▪ We can practise working out the real dangers from those that make us
feel prickly but are not real danger. The more we do that, the better we
will become at taking control of our ‘danger bear brain’.
▪ Look at these pictures. Work out the real dangers from the ones that feel
unpleasant but are not life-threatening.
