                     Taking control of Thinking Speed













































                          1. Start to notice when you do not feel so good – maybe you got


















                                               confused, were taking longer than you wanted to finish a task or


















                                               perhaps other people were getting impatient with you.































































                          2. Say to your brain: “Is this real danger, or is my brain tricking me?


















                                               What would help me to feel better now?


















                                                  You may want to write those words down to remind you. Or maybe


















                                                  keep a picture of a bear in your pocket to remind you.



































                          3. Spend time with your Mum or Dad looking at the strategies to


















                                               help with Thinking Speed on Slide 16. Which ones could you try to



















                                               help yourself? Which ones do you want adults to use to help you? Ask


















                                               your Mum or Dad to help you email the school to let them know.
