We talked through the things that did not work for you in the first
couple of days in your new course:
1. You do not feel much in common with a group of the girls there.
2. The other people have been very quiet
3. The tasks are too easy and do not feel relevant for you – they do not
feel as if they are going to help you get a job or into college.
Can you spot the 5C Needs in your concerns about the course?
I wonder how well your needs for connection are being met
on the course? Do you want it to stay the same or be different?
If you do want it to be different, when you don’t have much in common
with some of the girls on the course and when some people are silent,
what would need to happen now for you to feel better connected? What is
the first tiny step?
When the tasks are too easy and do not feel relevant for you, I
wonder how much you have a sense of control over what is
happening?
When the course is too easy and not so relevant, how important
and clever do you feel? How much do you feel you count?
What could happen now to solve this problem? What could be the
first tiniest step?
