▪ Look at each picture.
▪ Try to explain the aspect of the training programme the picture represents.
▪ Give as much detail as possible.
▪ Make a note of any pictures you were unsure of / ones where your answer differed or in which there
were elements omitted.
▪ Why do this picture quiz?
1. The pictures give a little prompt and we hope trigger some episodic or visual memories of the
training. The process of retrieval will strengthen the neural pathways associated with the
training and mean recall becomes easier.
2. Explaining things is a great way to find out if our memory and understanding of the
information is really secure. We can think we understand something and when we come to
explain it, realise our memory and understanding of the information is not quite as strong as
we had thought.
3. Knowing which aspects have stuck and which need further embedding means you are
equipped with knowledge of which unit flipbooks to go back to and look at again.
