Things to Explore and Practice
3. Extend your tolerance control
Start working at stretching your tolerance control so you can tolerate the
unpleasant feeling of a boring or difficult task for longer and longer.
Start with just a few minutes and work at increasing the time you can
manage each week – even just by 30 more seconds every few days. Don’t
try to increase it too quickly; it is better to increase slowly and make sure
your brain pathways are really strong before you move on.
If you practise each day, you will find it SO
much easier to tolerate boring and difficult
tasks by the time you start secondary school.
This will make school SO much easier for
you.
