Practice makes perfect

The execution

If you have gone through the above process, the interview should be simple providing:

• you arrive early and get into the interview room first;
• you stick to your plan and remain in control.

As explained fully in Chapter 7, the process should take you to the pivotal point, with you in
the role of a nurturing parent and the liar an adaptive child. From this point onwards, you
must be driven by the circumstances of the case in question, but take your time and get to the
worst case and deep truth.

Conclusions

If you have planned properly and rehearsed thoroughly, conducting the interview should be
the easy part, providing you remain emotionally detached with all of your antenna turned
on.
