Common electrical fire hazards

Electrical plugs

Electrical cables and extension leads.

There should be 13 amp three pin plugs,

selected to fit directly into the socket without

the need for adaptor.

Electrical adaptors

A plug suitably matched to an electrical outlet

socket should always be fitted to the electrical

appliance.

Fluorescent lights

Flickering fluorescents lights should be

reported to the maintenance department on

8666.
