2020 CENSUS
It’s no joke! The 2020 Census begins on April 1. By this date, every home should have received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census by mail from the official Census Bureau. You should respond for your household online, by phone, or by mail.
Everyone living in the United States is required by law to be counted in the 2020 Census. Census workers will begin visiting homes that haven’t responded to the 2020 Census in May through July to ensure everyone is counted. Your responses will be used only to produce statistics; your personal information is protected by law and will not be disclosed.
The resulting statistics of the 2020 Census will be accessible to the general public and will determine how the government allocates funding for housing, education, transportation, employment, health care and public policy. Local government officials use census data to ensure public safety and plan new schools and hospitals. Businesses use the census to determine where to build new stores, offices, and factories. Residents use census data when they decide what legislative, quality-of-life, and consumer advocacy initiatives to support.

2020Census.gov.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY INFORMATION
Hello Friends and Library Advocates!
Hey, would you like to get involved
in your community but are not sure
where to volunteer your time and
talents? If so, please consider joining
FOL! Now is a great time to get involved! We’re working toward expanding our fundraising in 2020. We’re developing some exciting ideas and could use your help.
At the Brandon Township Friends of the Library, we are volunteering our time, energy and talents towards extending our Library’s capacity to better serve Brandon Township. We do this through gifts of money which we earn from book sales and other activities.
Speaking of book sales, please join us for our Annual Book Sale during the weekend of the Heritage Garage Sale, where we’ll have thousands of books for sale as well as discounted pricing for FOL reusable bags. Please join us in our efforts, we’d love your help! We’d love to hear your fundraising ideas! I invite you to become a FOL member and a Brandon Township Library advocate.
Please join us at our next meeting and learn more about what we have cooking for 2020.
Our meetings are always on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm. Hope to see you there!
