              1-We can't hear the sound of solar explosions but we can see the light coming
              out of it.

              Because sound is mechanical wave that need medium to propagate, while light

              is electromagnetic wave that don’t need medium to propagate.

              Because they don’t need medium to propagate. Transverse: Because the
              particles of the medium vibrate ⊥ to the direction of wave propagation
