Water sources
Water ecosystems are called aquatic ecosystems, they can be classified
into saltwater ecosystem and freshwater ecosystem.
Oceans "surround the continents" and seas
Very large water bodies contain salt water.
Water movement is in the form of waves.
Kelp, dolphin, starfish & moses / flounder fish.
Lakes "Low-lying areas"
Water bodies are surrounded by land contain
fresh water but sometimes salt water.
Rivers "Mountains"
Water bodies flow from high altitude (place)
to lower altitude in a definite channel
contain fresh water.
Estuary ( Home of plants and animals )
Water body at which fresh water of a river or stream ends &
meets the salt water of sea or ocean. It is along the edges of
seas & oceans.
Groundwater "in cracks & underground rocks"
The water lies under the earth's surface and leaked through a
layer of porous rocks forming aquifer.
It supplies wells & springs with fresh water.
