Particle Theory of Matter
1- Matter consists of small particles aren’t visible “naked eyes”
2- The particles of a single type of matter are identical but they differ
from one substance to another.
3- Particles of any substance store potential energy due to the
attraction forces between them.
4- Particles of any substance have kinetic energy as they are in a
continuous motion in straight lines.
5- Spaces between particles of any substance is called
interparticle spaces, way of movement & speed vary depending
on the physical state.
The difference in the forces of attraction between the
molecules of a certain substance (Cause) leads to
differences in its behavior & properties (Effect)
