The tow er and thefancy cornice are gone, but the building, as well as much of Seventh Ave.are still intact since 1903.This postcard shows M arcy Avenue in Williamsburg, also c.1903. The23rd Regiment Armory is at left, built in 1886. Williamsburg had alreadybeen a part of Brooklyn for many years, but still thought of as a separatecity, with many beautiful and expensive residences and public buildings.%u2014 Joseph C.
