The Cobble Hill-Carroll Gardens independent Democratic club, the Independent Neighborhood Democrats, had backed Jerome Kretchmer. All three clubs agreed in advance to be bound by the New Democratic Coalition endorsement, and all are expected to work for the Blumenthal candidacy. He spoke at the meeting urging Wittich%u2019s endorsement.
