Empowerment of women, youth and Third World people will be considered as Association targetsalong with concerns in the areas ofenvironment, economic and socialjustice, and world relations.The Convention falling approximately one month ahead of iNationai YWCA Week i April 22-26) carries a comparable theme, the %u201cEmpowerment of Women for Action.%u201d%u201c In our community, we see the Convention providing new directions in working with women and girls toward building peace and justice, freedom and dignity for all people.%u201d Ms. Charlotte B.
