Three tremendous birthday cakes will be lighted. Free cake to the people!2 p.m.: Mayor Lindsay will lead a parade%u2014including four marching bands%u2014through City Hall Park and across the Brooklyn Bridge to Brooklyn where he will meet Borough President Sebastian Leone. The dignitaries will then lead the parade down to the old Fulton Ferry site.2 4 p.m.: All lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge closed to automotive traffic.2-11 p.m.. Street fair at Fulton Ferry, beneath the Brooklyn Bridge at the foot of Cadman Plaza West. Rides, clowns, exhibits, tours, food, music, dance and a flea market.Birthday Calendar5 p.m.: Berglass Factory, recently designated CityLandmark now being converted into artists' lofts, will beopen for tour. Located adjacent to Fulton Ferry site.6 p.m.: Jazz at the Bankside Boondock, Front St. andCadman Plaza West.6 p.m.: Salute to the Brooklyn Bridge co-sponsored bythe Long Island Historical Society, the South St. SeaportMuseum, the Academy of American Poets and the PRCA,Begins with an exhibit of old photos, lithos and paintingsof the Bridge on display in the Print Gallery of the SouthSt. Seaport, 207 Water St. At 6 p.m. poets MurielRukeyser, Stanley Kunitz and James Wright will readWhitman and Crane on the deck of the Wavertree,moored in the South St. Seaport harbor.
