Help On WheelsIf you need a helping hand, call Handivan.Handivan is a new program designed toteach New Yorkers the basics of carpentry,plumbing, masonry and other building skills.Handivan is equipped with a group of university-guided experts, financed by Citibank,and it is expected to help thousands oftenants and homeowners in efforts to helppreserve and revitalize neighborhoods.Janet Brown, coordinator of the project forCornell, said that the Handivan will traveldaily to a selected site and meet withcommunity groups. The Handivan will not bet ' ' %u25a0 niiimiiiiiiiia fix-it service, but a traveling school which =will make people masters of their homes and lmake them save money. \\The program's curriculum will include ;classroom instruction, on-site presentations, ]blackboard sessions and work demonstra- =tions.
