The building taking its name from a local Indian tribe was designed by Francis H. Kimball in an impressive 19th century design. The yeljow brick and pale terra cotta exterior was inspired by the Venetian Gothic Palazzo, the Ca d%u2019oro. The interior still retains the original mahogany paneling, stained glass windows, and ornamented plasterwork. Besides its dining facilities, the Club originally had rooms on the fourth floor available to men club members for rent in the summer. This was so the men could rent apartments while their wives were at their country homes.%u2014Kings Views ofBrooklyn compiled by Moses King.P h o e n ix U p F r o n tMail Your fid or Deliver It To: The PHO%u20acNiX, 395 Rtlontic Rvenue, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11217 Deadline: Tuesday, 5 p.m.Enclose check for $4 for every six words or port thereof.
