Homeschool Programs
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis offers engaging
programs for homeschool families that relate to museum
exhibits and support state and national academic standards.
Homeschool programs are recommended for children age
6–10, although all ages are welcome with adult assistance.
One kit per student is recommended.
Virtual Homeschool: Paleo Investigations
Put on your investigative caps and be
prepared to go beneath the surface
of what you think you know about
dinosaurs. Explore prehistoric
pathologies and determine what
happened to the dinosaurs. Homeschool: Women in STEM
Learn how one little bone, Discover the girl power that changed science and history
visible in our Bucky skeleton, forever. Go into the field, into the lab, or even into outer space
makes such a difference in with our crew of female discoverers. Learn about Merit-Ptah,
our understanding of dinosaur the first woman ever mentioned in the field of science,

and determine what the dinosaur ate, explore trace fossils, Franklin, or travel to the stars with Mae Jamison. Learn about

Combine your science lab and art studio as we learn about
the science behind art. Many of your favorite techniques,
processes, or supplies can be explained by science. Discover
how the sun can be used as an medium and how to paint
with magnets. Practice physics with markers and pendulums.
Study motion with artistic robots and more. Let’s get a little
messy and a great deal scientific!
